Deanah O’Donnell is an Enrolled Agent with DeCaprio CPA & Associates PC in Branford. She specializes in litigation accounting and tax representation. She credits her fraud and sleuth skills to working in loss prevention in the restaurant industry in her early career.
Before working in public accounting, she worked in the private sector in acquisitions and mergers as a loss prevention accountant. Her clients range from micro business, self-employed entrepreneurs to larger employers. She has consulted clients and other small business owners on the importance of fraud and how to keep their small business safe. Deanah enjoys working with clients and helping them protect their business and watching them accomplish their goals. She also enjoys working with the team at her firm. Phil DeCaprio, the founder of the firm in which she works is one of the most sought-after forensic accounting experts in the state and she enjoys working with a mentor with such a broad skillset.
Deanah will share some simple steps that you can take to protect your business and livelihood from fraud. The world of “pink collar crime” ( or financial crimes committed by women) is one of the fastest growing areas for fraud, along with small business fraud. Dr. Charles Guglin is General Surgeon with 35 years of experience in the Milford and the New Haven communities. He started studying Functional and Age Management Medicine as he grew older and realized that the allopathic community had nothing to offer most folks except pharmaceuticals that merely manage symptoms without addressing the underlying causes (usually lifestyle related) of age related diseases.
For your personal and professional development, the Network of Executive Women’s monthly luncheons include an informative guest speaker, and opportunities to network and build relationships with other professional and entrepreneurial women.
Luncheons are held the first Tuesday of every month from Noon to 1:30pm, and are open to members and guests. The cost is $24.99 for members and $29.99 for guests. The luncheons are held at Riverview Bistro located at 946 Ferry Blvd. in Stratford. See directions below.
Please note: Professional and entrepreneurial women are invited to attend and apply. Guest attendance is limited to two events. Thereafter, an application for membership consideration is required to be submitted in order to attend a third event.
